We had the wonderful experience of presenting some of Orly’s homemade Israeli-style dishes to the Family and Consumer Sciences Dept at Fontbonne University. We also shared information with the students regarding Orly’s homeland, culture and traditions.

The students study Cultural Competence through Food classes in the Dietetics program. These students will become registered dietitians and will go on to do work in clinical, community, food service, sports, research and educational settings.

As part of their spring Cultural Competence class, they invite guest chefs from around the globe to provide hands-on cooking presentations based on traditional recipes that showcase the presenter’s culture and traditions.
