On April 23, we hosted a cultural event at Kitchen Conservatory. The attendees learned about Israeli style cuisine, as well as our culture & mentality, and that our Israeli friends in STL are truly our extended family! We eat dinners with them, celebrate holidays together, and provide support to each other. The class enjoyed cheese-filled burekas - delicious Middle Eastern hand pies with puff pastry, baba ganoush, Israeli bulgur salad, classic Israeli stuffed peppers filled with meat and rice cooked in a tomato sauce served with a fresh cabbage salad, plus iconic Israeli "chocolate balls" served with hot green tea from Orly's homeland
