Born and raised in Mombasa, Kenya, Faiza's connection to Swahili cuisine is deeply intertwined with the vibrant Swahili culture. Swahili culture is a rich tapestry of influences, drawing from Indian and Arabic traditions.
From a young age, Faiza was always in the kitchen, learning the art of cooking from her mother. Today, she owns Faiza’s Kitchen, a catering business dedicated to sharing the authentic flavors of Swahili cuisine with the community and the world.
